You never know when a picture is last

I had another idea for this week's blog; however, a person who I knew for a few years has passed away at the age of 52. and I have no other way of honoring him other than this picture and my memories.

I did not know Jimmy personally other than he was very supportive to anyone. When I was unemployed, he was there to support me. I heard this about Jimmy. He always gave and did not take. Holbrook Brothers is a local group, and you knew when they were playing because everyone was dancing and never wanted the night to end. I wrote some time ago about a picture; you never know when it will be your last of that person. Don't take life for granted because there is no guarantee for tomorrow. Jimmy, you are now in God's hand, and no doubt you're singing a duet with your sister. Thanks for your support and smiles; you will truly be missed.

Life of a Pelican

Vacation time for a photographer means time to shoot different things. While down in Sanibel, I decided to spend time videoing Pelicans and put the story together. After about 8-10 hours every day for 5 days, watching out and learning from these birds. I had the info I wanted for this documentary. Here is my story of the Pelican. I like to do something with Dolphins. Saw them, but only the fin. Maybe next vacation.

Warming up time for Backyard Photography

Finally, in Ohio, the weather is starting to warm up. I decided to go in the backyard and talk pictures of birds. I wanted something interesting and different. Using my 100-400 at 400, I got what I wanted. Well somewhat. I wanted a flying moment, and that will be my next goal.

For me, light is the first thing, and my goal will be based on that. This little guy(maybe gal) posed for me for about a second. A second is all that I needed.

I am so glad spring is coming. I enjoy nature and look forward to taking pictures of nature. The nice thing is getting outside.
