Bird time

Most of the pictures I have been taking this year have been with my iPhone. However, with birds, I needed my Cannon R5 for the longer lens. I looked for great light and food for the birds to come. Found both and came up with this picture.

Woodpecker

After looking at this, I wonder two things. What would it look like on a magazine cover?

Last, I wondered what it would look like as a painting. Using Photoshop AI I came up with the following.

What you can do with a single bird. I am thinking about having on canvas the painting of this bird. I like it as a painting. I'm looking forward to getting out more this year for more pictures.

The Wild Turkey with the Babies

There is an expression; the best camera is the camera you have in your hand. So true. While walking in the woods, I came upon this mama turkey and her little ones. While I did not have the camera that I would like, I did have my iPhone and video this experience. One thing about these little ones, they move fast, and trying to keep up with them was challenging for me. (I need some practice) After filming for about 3 minutes, it was time to take in Adobe Premier and make something that I could share. Sit back and enjoy.

Anhinga Snake

Ever since I was in 3rd grade, I had a love for birds. I don't know why, but I always had a thing for birds. Now a few years later, I still enjoy birds but now with a camera. While vacationing down in Florida, I enjoyed this bird. Not knowing much about it, I used famous google to understand it. It's called Anhinga Snake because it swims like a water snake when it's in the water looking for food.

Life of a Pelican

Vacation time for a photographer means time to shoot different things. While down in Sanibel, I decided to spend time videoing Pelicans and put the story together. After about 8-10 hours every day for 5 days, watching out and learning from these birds. I had the info I wanted for this documentary. Here is my story of the Pelican. I like to do something with Dolphins. Saw them, but only the fin. Maybe next vacation.

Warming up time for Backyard Photography

Finally, in Ohio, the weather is starting to warm up. I decided to go in the backyard and talk pictures of birds. I wanted something interesting and different. Using my 100-400 at 400, I got what I wanted. Well somewhat. I wanted a flying moment, and that will be my next goal.

For me, light is the first thing, and my goal will be based on that. This little guy(maybe gal) posed for me for about a second. A second is all that I needed.

I am so glad spring is coming. I enjoy nature and look forward to taking pictures of nature. The nice thing is getting outside.
