Bird time

Most of the pictures I have been taking this year have been with my iPhone. However, with birds, I needed my Cannon R5 for the longer lens. I looked for great light and food for the birds to come. Found both and came up with this picture.

Woodpecker

After looking at this, I wonder two things. What would it look like on a magazine cover?

Last, I wondered what it would look like as a painting. Using Photoshop AI I came up with the following.

What you can do with a single bird. I am thinking about having on canvas the painting of this bird. I like it as a painting. I'm looking forward to getting out more this year for more pictures.

Portrait of a Pet

Taking portraits of pets can be difficult at times. with portraits of humans, we can get them to look and do what we want. But with a pet, they have a mind of their own.

Archie was no diffrent. I was using my iPhone to take candid pictures using a huge window, and soft light coming threw. I took a few pictures and came up with what I liked. Next was to cut out Archie in Photoshop and give him a studio look. I don’t know, but I think the owner will be happy. I know I was happy with it. Most of us have a camera all ready; just look at where the light is going and use it with whatever camera you have. For me, this was my iPhone today. Happy shooting.

Wild Life

I have always liked going out into the woods and seeing nature at its best. One advantage of being a Freelance Photographer is that you getings you enjoy, especially in a little of everything, to shoot the th and that is why I enjoy being a freelancer.

The Wolf

The wolf. It looks just like a dog and is so cute. Right. I don’t think I would want to pet him or her. I can’t remember my settings for this one other than I know I used my 100-400 lens. Try to get low and place the focus on the eyes. I kept my distance—time to move on to the next assignment.

The Birds

About 6 months ago, I purchased the Canon R-5. I love it. I have been doing people primarily, and now I had a chance to do the animal eye detection on this camera. It did not let me down.

The Dominican Republic

When I travel and walkabout, I use the Aperture Priority setting at F5.6 with an ISO of 200-400. I use this because most of the time, when I am walking, it is daytime, and I will get the speed I need. I had fun with these birds. I call it birds in love. After all, its SPRING :)

The Wild Turkey with the Babies

There is an expression; the best camera is the camera you have in your hand. So true. While walking in the woods, I came upon this mama turkey and her little ones. While I did not have the camera that I would like, I did have my iPhone and video this experience. One thing about these little ones, they move fast, and trying to keep up with them was challenging for me. (I need some practice) After filming for about 3 minutes, it was time to take in Adobe Premier and make something that I could share. Sit back and enjoy.
