Last week, Lisa and I went to a local restaurant in Bryan, Ohio, and I think I may have had the best Veal Parmesan I ever had with Gnocchi. This year, I have been doing more with my iPhone, and this was no exception. It was not the best light, but it worked for me for a quick picture. Now, off to the next restaurant and/or city.
iPhone
The Grasshopper
One of my favorite drinks is the Grasshopper. We always looked forward to it after our Christmas dinner. During St Patrick's Day, the restaurant we were at was offering it. I had to have one. It was so good. Out came the iPhone, and I took a picture, not knowing if I would use the photo or not. Learning Adobe Illustrator, I made this layout for practice and fun.
Making a New Promo
I have been having a lot of fun with photography and will continue to. I am also having fun with video, and part of that is learning Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Between my camera and iPhone, I have been learning a alot. One of the projects i wanted to do for a long time was a promo of my business. Finally got at it and had a great time learning Adobe After Effect. Here is what I came up with, and it is now my main page as you enter my website.
I have other ideas, and I continue playing and learning videos. Stay tuned for more videos. Today, they say video is hotter but hanging a video on your family room wall is not possible, at least not today. Being a Freelance photographer is fun you can do just about anything.
Portrait of a Pet
Taking portraits of pets can be difficult at times. with portraits of humans, we can get them to look and do what we want. But with a pet, they have a mind of their own.
Archie was no diffrent. I was using my iPhone to take candid pictures using a huge window, and soft light coming threw. I took a few pictures and came up with what I liked. Next was to cut out Archie in Photoshop and give him a studio look. I don’t know, but I think the owner will be happy. I know I was happy with it. Most of us have a camera all ready; just look at where the light is going and use it with whatever camera you have. For me, this was my iPhone today. Happy shooting.
New Me
Well, we are in the new year, and I said earlier that I would be changing my business. Well, sort of. In 2024, I am looking at doing more freelance photography, focusing on travel, commercial, senior, aviation, and macro photography. I am also using my iPhone more. This is a great camera. I always have it with me and don’t need to carry a 40lb bag with me all the time. Take the picture below.
Lisa and I went to a winery in Indiana. As I was walking, I saw these glasses and wondered how this would do in a picture. The iThe phone came out, and I set it up to make the picture I thought it would. I did do a little in Photoshop. Mostly cleaning food that was on the table, and that was it. The lighting was very low, and I used the table to rest the phone on to get the best still picture possible. So far this year, the only camera I have been using has been my iPhone for images and video. Video? yep that will be another post.
So long, Indiana, and onto the next city. They say the best camera is the one you have. So true.
