Compositing

You never know what will inspire you to do something different. I played with compositing on and off last year, from easy things like changing skies to a little more complicated. One of the things I enjoy is airplanes. So I went to a stock site and started looking at planes. Found this P-51 Mustang. This would be my subject. Now for a background, I was looking for cities and found what I thought would work.

Ok, I have my pictures time to work in Photoshop. The first thing was to cut out the plane and place it in the city. Once this was done, it was time to make this real by matching color to look like it was one. The best trick that I use curves to match the color. In this case, I matched the plane to the city. Next was to make the moonlight look like it was hitting the plane. The Final was to focus on how I wanted the viewer's eye to go where I wanted it. I did this with dodging and burning. Make light sports brighter and dark areas darker. Last was to do some selective sharping. In this case, the plane and the pilot.

Somethings I learned in composites are. Make sure the light match. Meaning make sure the light is in the same direction. Next is to make the color look the same. Last, take your time and think as a photographer, if I took this picture, what would it look like. Then let your creativeness come out.

Here is my final and my creativeness. In 2021 I plan to do more of this. Why, because I enjoy it and it's fun doing. Second, as I said before, my hand and mind do not work together except when it comes to stick people. My mind and electronics make what is in my head real for me.
