Avenue of Angels

For us that live in the Valley, we know what this means. Downtown Appleton, WI. I have such memories of the downtown. I remember when I was young, taking the bus from Neenah, WI, to Appleton, WI, when it used to be known for shopping. Me, I hanged at the music stores. Then we had a family tradition on Christmas Eve, and we would go and see all of the decorations, including Appleton. So, where did the avenue of angels come from? Back in the day, with all of the shopping, College Avenue had angels on every poll and every intersection. It was so beautiful. Today they do a modification of this. Nothing is more pretty than seeing the angels in the snow. Enjoy this weekend, enjoy family and friends, and don’t forget to consider an angel or maybe two. Merry Christmas.

Little time for Me

Nothing like having a little time for myself. While traveling up in Wisconsin, I finally got some fall pictures I have been after. No pressure, time to think and look at different angles. Look at the light and what it was giving me because I forgot my tripod. I handheld this picture. Using F8 ISO 200 and speed of 100. Next was to take it in Lightroom, I cropped and vibrance the colors. Last went to sharpen it using Topaz. I love my time. It gives me a chance to take a deep breath, get what I am thinking, and practice my skills again.

Aviation Photography

For many years, I have been going to EAA in Oshkosh, WI. Facts, my love for planes started back when I was working on the ambulance. Yes, you heard it right. You see, we're the crew for the flight line, and I learned a lot about planes and the pilots threw their story's from their wives. This brings me to today. Once again, I went to EAA, this time as a photographer.

While this was not my first time taking pictures of these incredible machines, it was my first time after many hours of practicing new technics.

I also wanted to be creative when it came to aviation. Yes, get the shot everyone likes to see. But also get the image that many people did not think of, like the wheels of a 747.

One thing over the years that have not change is my love for planes and aviation. At the airports, some people like looking at people. I look at planes after planes taking off. I have been to many museums not just once but return many times. With all of this, I decided that I want to make Aviation part of my photography portfolio. I enjoy aviation. If I had to make my career over again, I would like to be a pilot. While I am getting older, I will do the next best. Document Aviation. Next show Cleveland.
