Nature at its best

What do you do when you have time to think? You look around and see things that you might have taken for granted or ignored. This has been true for me this year. For about two weeks, we have Robin’s that decided to build a next and tart their family at our front door. I have been documenting it in film and pictures waiting for the birth of the new chicks. Don’t worry, my wife and I are so into them that we use our back screen porch not to disturb them and pictures and filming has been done when they are away. Yesterday was a big day. We have three chicks that came into the world.

I think the cool part of this was learning about Robins. They say it takes 12-14 days of incubation. This was true. Now I learn that the feeding is done from dad while mom gets ready to do this again. Interesting. It will be two more weeks, and soon this part of life we over for us. They leave there nest in about two weeks. Nature is so exciting. It sure beats the news we been hearing.
