Valetines Day

Happy Valentine's Day to you. The month of, or the day of Love. For lovers we go out to eat with the one we love. But what does a photographer love? Shooting pictures is what I love to do. I wanted to take some time and do some macro photography along with the product. What better than my wedding band? The setup was easy; I used constant light. I use my Canon R5 with a 90mm macro lens on a tripod. I decided to do focus stacking, and here is what I came up with.

Head Shots

Business this year has been good with Head Shots. Why? With social media and jobs, people do not need a selfie but a high professional picture. Me, I do two types of backgrounds. I use Gray and use white on request.

The nice thing with my setup, I can do these anywhere. When I mean anywhere, I mean anywhere. I have done them in a garage, hallways, small rooms, and even outside.

Headshots are changing today from what I like with the above to cutting off some of the head. Everything changes, and it's our job to stay with what is new. Then as I have said numerous times, practice. You can't be good without practice in anything. Thank you, everyone, for your trust in me this year with your headshot; I look forward to more. (Which bookings look good)

Business Headshot

Today more than ever, business headshots are so important. With many more people working from home and more and more jobs opening, it is essential to have a professional headshot. This was no exception to this person that means everything to me. You got it, my wife Lisa. For the first time since I have been taking pictures, she finally let me take a picture that we would keep. Lisa wanted an updated headshot, so with that said, I set up my lights for what I like doing headshots. This time I used a 3 three light setup. In less than 5 minutes, we had what I wanted and done.

Headshot of Lisa

After the pictures were taken I had Lisa picked her favorites by using Lightroom. Next was just sharpen her eyes and hair and that would be it. But I did not stop there. I use a gray background for my headshots because I think it looks nice but also it easy to take in Photoshop and change it to any color or background of choice. That is what I did here.

Believe it or not, a happy wife with a picture that she can now use on her social media. Now on to the next Headshot.

Headshots in the Medical Community

For about 4 years, I have had the honor to do headshots for the local medical community—the chance to meet the new medical personnel.

My setup is simple. I like to use two lights and gray background. Why gray? It, if needed, the gray. In post-processing, can be changed color that may require suite better. With this setup, I can shoot anywhere. When I mean, anywhere I mean it. During covid, we did it outside in the rain under a front entrance. I have done like the pictures above in a hallway. I have done it at people's homes. All I need is a space.

The reward is so fantastic for a photographer. To see your pictures in magazines, pamphlets, and yes, on the billboards. I think my wife gets sick of it when I say. Hey, that is one of my pictures. For me, I say I did the job that I was hired for.

Thank you to those who trust in me, and I look forward to more.
