Well, its wedding time and time to get prepared. I have a couple that will be getting married at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio. I have lived in Ohio for about 15 years, and I have never been to this location. As part of my agenda with weddings, I talk with the couple about their wedding and what they would like. One of the topics in the traditional or first look. This couple is looking at doing first look. We are scheduling our next meeting to start a time frame for there day. It’s hard to do if you have no idea what the area is like. Time to visit and time get aquatinted with the area.
This place is a photographer dreams for pictures. With all of the porches and the history of these buildings make it very special. The landscape in some of the areas makes it another excellent opportunity. Because the wedding is out a few more months, I was not looking at the light. I was looking at possibilities of locations. I will be making another trip when we get closer, and the time the pictures will be taken. I was looking at possibility's of first look locations; I was looking at scorching sunny places, and last if it rains, idea’s for that. I wrote my notes down and will be getting with the couple to talk about the area. (now that I have seen it)
This was a special Saturday. While I was there, they also had about 100 or more antique cars. Of course, I had to take pictures. Sauder Village is a neat place to visit. I learned a lot this day. It talks about the past, like in the 1800s. I learn how brooms were made. I learned about quilting. How wooden buckets are made and of course this day about the cars. The people are so friendly and so willing to share their knowledge. Did I tell you they have an ice cream shop? By the way, another spot that I am thinking for the couple. It was a fun day, and I am looking forward to the wedding here.
