I read a book call Studio Anywhere by Nick Francher. He talked about shadows and controlling them. You can read all you want, but till you try it, I feel you won’t earn. So, I did a very close setup that Nick did — using one flash I set up where I wanted my shadows to appear. I wanted harsh light so no modification and made it a small source by taking the light about 8ft above what I was taking a picture. When all done, I did nearly what Nick did.
