Travel Photography

There are so many things in photography that can be done. I have a few that I like very much. One of them is Travel Photography. I have had the privilege of traveling all around the world. While there are some cities, I really like. I love to travel. As a child in the great state of Wisconsin, I never dream that I would get that chance, and today not only did I get that chance, but I have friends all around the world.

While the world is exciting. So is the country I am from. The United States. This travel has to do with Cincinnati, Ohio. I happen to be with another photo enthusiasm, and we decided to go walking in downtown Cincinnati. We had no idea other then we were going to take our cameras out for a walk and shoot. My first picture was an 11 frame pano. I am using Lightroom to stitch it. I did not have a tripod, so I handheld knowing today that Lightroom does a pretty good job.

My next set of pictures was the bridge. I did all kinds of angles. I shot close, wide, and in-between. What I wanted was the reflection of the bridge in the water and then a closeup of the bridge. When I do travel photography 90% of the time, I am shooting in Aperture Priority mode. My reason is that I am shooting mostly in the daylight, and all I need to worry about is what depth of field I would like.

My last photo was the Ferris wheel. I really wanted to show the the Ferris wheel but wanted to show the location. Looking for the right angle was the hardest. This was the angle that I decided that work for me.

It was fun day walking around downtown Cincinnati. It was fun taking pictures with someone else and see what they came up with. Our visions of things were different and that what cool about photography. Everyone see’s it different. I am looking forward to my next city that I may have sometime and take the camera for a walk.
