Playing in Photoshop

I alway’s enjoyed art. My mind and hand could never draw together, and I think that is why I enjoy photography. I shoot what my mind is thinking. For the past two years, it was time to learn and play with photoshop. Photoshop is so powerful and can just about do anything you want if you understand and yes have patient. I have been following Adobe Creative day challenge for over a year. My mission to learn. This week was so much fun because it was all about space. I love space. It was time to make a space scene that was in my mind using Photoshop.

Space as I would imagine

Space as I would imagine

The only photo that is real is the space station from NASA. Everything else was made in photoshop by using blend modes and playing with light. The planet started as a blue circle. Painting a little white on top and painting with black started to make the circle a 3d circle. Now I took a pattern and with an overlay blend mode. We have a planet. The galaxy was made using a noise filer and using clouds. Again with blend mode, it was time to add color to this galaxy. Last was cutting out the space station and make it look like it was part of this scene. You got it, Again, with some painting with and black and matching the color of the scene. I think we have something that looks pretty believable. So what does have to do with photography? Creativity, I have been working on creativity for over a year. I am still working on creativity. I am technical by trade, but now I want my mind to drift in space. Get it? Lol, I want to do something different than what everyone else does. I can’t wait for more changes and more fun for those who wish to be creative. Keep going and have fun at it.
