Happy Valentines Day, everyone. I also married great women in February and celebrated our anniversary. Your photographer and see the roses you have given to your loved one and see the light hitting them just right—time for the camera to come out.
I liked how the window light was hitting the camera right from the window. I set up my camera on a trip-pod with a 90mm macro lens and set up the picture. Not liking the shadow being too dark, I could have used more ambient light (window light), or I could bring in a flash.
That is what I did put in a fill flash camera, right. (coming to the same direction) and took a picture. Still not happy with the fill. I wanted to add just a little blue in the shadow and put a purple gel and gave it just a splash of light in the shadows. Now I got what I wanted.
With a little correction in LightRoom, it was time to bring it into Photoshop and make something out of it. I like this saying, so I thought I would put it in. The roses are pretty much straight out of the camera. I did a little cleanup and sharpening. The clouds were using a brush, and flare was using photoshop flare.
Happy Valentines Day, everyone, and I hope you enjoy your day.
