Sanibel, Florida

Spend a week in the Sanibel. What a place. The food, the view, and the people were all great. We stayed at the Sanibel Marriott Resort, and for a Midwestern, I enjoyed looking at the dolphins just about every day. The Pelicans and watch their behavior. I got the chance to see a baby and mom, Manatee, and so much more. The beaches and view top-notch.

After waiting for almost two years to get back to travel, it was nice to go to an almost normal area. The people, I can’t say enough was so friendly. You felt like you were talking to your best friend. They were sharing places, restaurants, and so on with you. Exchanging their story’s the year that they went through.

I mention food, hats off to Gramma Dot’s, Bimini Bait Shack, Lighthouse, and Snug Harbor. Going to the beaches, you need to get up early, not for the beach area but parking. We went to the Lighthouse Beach parked at 9:00 am. No problem was finding a spot. Went for ¾ mile walk to Lighthouse Cafe for breakfast. (another friendly and good place) at 10:30, the lot was full. Whatever you do, do not skip paying for parking. If you do, it will cost $150.00. No, I did not have to pay $150, but the meter lady told me.

You want to know what America is like, go to Sanibel. Relax, enjoy, and most of all, take in what God provides’s.
