For me there is nothing more satisfied then having repeat business. You see Eleanor parents got married a few years back and I happen.to be their less then 24 hour photographer for there wedding. Yes, you heard me right. I received a call less then 24 hours of their wedding to see if I would be available to take pictures. There photographer was unable to make it because of special circumstance. What sounded like disaster, turned out great. Great people top work with.

I was asked last week if I could take pictures of their new addition to the family. Of course, I said yes. For me, Newborn/Baby photography is in my option my weakest of photography. I think the main reason for not enough practice because I am busy with other things that I enjoy a little more.
I have always liked the soft look of Newborn/Baby photography, and I knew I was going to use it here. We went into their living room, and I started to look at the light. I felt window light was going to give me a look I was after. We began with outfit one and laid her on her belly. I needed a little more fill light, so I had someone whole a white reflector to help out with the shadows. I remember shooting at a higher ISO of 1600 at F3.5 and shutter of 125. But I like the soft light that I was seeing. We shot for about 2-3 minutes, and Eleanor had enough on her belly. So we stopped, got her comfortable and began shooting a different style that she was comfortable. Again after about 5 minutes or so, she had enough of that. Took a break, did an outfit change.
She gave us maybe a minute or so, but I got the capture we were looking for. The session took about an hour and a half for about 30-35 keepers. Process using Lightroom. Mainly just increases the exposure by half of stop and some sharpening and a little saturation on the clothing.
The best we order prints and to see and hear them that they are beautiful. Well, that why I like what I do — documenting History. Not only once, but now twice.
