Picture after Sunset

We all love the sunset and yes it is sure beautiful but so is 10 -20 minutes after sunset. What? Photography makes you think different then what we normally see. I love taking pictures of cities, architecture and landscape after sunset. You have a period of about 20 minutes or so that color comes out like you have never seen before. Don’’t believe me, do it your self with your eyes, after sunset look at the sky and will see the blues getting bluer, the mage’s get brighter so beautiful.

Montpelier Hospital in Ohio

I was on an assignment to take a picture of the above hospital. I went about 1 hour before sunset and started to look at different angles that I wanted to take this picture. Setting my camera to HDR or 5 different exposures simultaneously, I began to start taking photos about 10 minutes before sunset to about 25 minutes after sunset. I love the sky that evening. After fighting the mosquitoes for 25 minutes, it was time to go home and pick a picture. In Lightroom, I looked at all the pictures I took that evening, and the one I chose was about 20 minutes after sunset. The above is the final photo. The client loved it, and now its time to do another assignment of another hospital. I love using this after sunset at engagements and weddings when allowed.
