Commercial Job in Ohio
Last week I was hired to do some Commercial work for a new Eye Care facility that went up in Bryan, Ohio. We started with the headshots of the doctor at the new facility. While looking for an area that we could do and not disturb the business, we used the break room. With me shooting him from a hallway, we once again made a studio out of nothing.
Next was a building shot of this brand new facility. Talking with the Marketing Director, we looked at how the weather was going to be and picked our date. Using an app to tell me when Blue Hour will be, we set up the time. What is Blue Hour? As the sun sets and goes entirely down. There is a period when the sky turns blue. The blue is always better than black or night. Our blue hour this night was about 15 minutes long. We had a few challenges, and that was car’s coming in and out. For the most part, the people were cooperative to move. Every one in a while you get that odd one and this was no exception. Thank you to those that helped up. With all the lights on inside the building, it was time to get the crucial shot and then from different angles. With the long exposures I was using, the camera was on a tripod. I was using ISO 100 Aperture of 11 and speed between 3 and 20 seconds.
That evening took all the pictures and backed them up. Next day was to process the raw files which I did 90% in Lightroom and little in Photoshop. In the end, the most important another satisfied customer. Next product shots.
