Do we need everything in a picture
Photography is such a learning experience that there is no way you can know everything. I have always been a big believer in education and still am. Even when you think you know it, you can always pick something up that maybe you never thought of. I have been a member of KelbyOne for about seven years. Scott Kelby taught me a trick about travel photography and how to get rid of people at famous landmarks.
I remember that episode and used for this picture. We were at the Cincinnati Art Museum in Ohio. I had an idea that I wanted the whole scene with the spiral staircases but there where so many people and time was running out I remember what Scott said. Shoot above all the people. Meaning instead of getting the whole scene with about 40 people in it shoot above the heads of those 40 people. That is what I did. I had to do one more trick, I had to be patient, but I waited for the split second for those who were on top to leave. I got that split second and took the picture. I like this picture, in my opinion, it’s better than all the people in it.
If you want to learn photography, I would highly recommend KelbyOne. I have learned so much over the years. As you can see, you don’t need to have everything in the picture to make a good picture.
